General Dentistry
Every day it is our job to help our patients be healthy and stay well. Dr. Goll and our team of dental care experts provide you with state of the art dentistry.
Our approach to care is comprehensive, meaning we take more than your teeth into consideration. During each visit to our office, we make time to talk with you. Together we outline your dental needs, discuss your wants and work together to keep your smile healthy and well for a lifetime.
While it is important to visit our dental office regularly to maintain your oral health, home care is just as important.
Stay Healthy with Smart Home Care
Flossing – To minimize your chances of decay, it is important to floss between your teeth and through the pockets of your gums each day. We recommend flossing, with waxed floss for ease of use, before you go to bed as part of your nighttime routine.
Brushing – Brushing at least twice a day, in the morning and before bed, is essential for care. If you are using a traditional toothbrush, please brush for at least two minutes at a time. While brushing, make certain you cover your entire gum line, all around your teeth, brushing the front and back. Your brush should stay along the gums and feel like a little more than a tickle because brushing too hard can damage gums.
If you prefer Sonicare or a similar toothbrush, please remember to keep contact gentle and brush for at least two minutes to stimulate gum health and clean teeth.
Rinsing – Most mouth rinses kill bacteria. There are a few brands we prefer because they have added preventive ingredients and low alcohol levels. We love Biotene and ACT mouth rinses because both help protect tooth enamel. If you are at the drug store and cannot remember the products we recommend, just remember to look for “ADA Approved” (American Dental Association) on the label.
Extra Care – There are several ways to improve smile health and appearance through nutrition. Fruits and vegetables can help remove plaque. Every time you eat an apple, some broccoli or cauliflower, you are not just keeping your body healthy, you are also whitening your smile and removing plaque.
