Before & After:
Complete Dentures and Removable Partial Dentures
Complete and Removable Partial Dentures have been around for decades and are still the most cost effective way of replacing missing teeth. Modern technology has provided us with the finest materials to allow a natural looking replacement for nature’s own. Further, the use of unsightly metal clasps can now be easily avoided.

This patient requested new dentures that were in harmony with her facial features and skin color and helped to enhance her smile.
Veneers
Very often a thin covering of a tooth is all that is required to dramatically improve the appearance of a stained, cracked, chipped or dark tooth. It may be unnecessary to cover and cut down the whole tooth and place a crown, so a veneer made of porcelain or composite material is the ideal solution. No metal is used in these restorations.

Crowns and Bridges
One major advance in Prosthodontics is the use of ceramic materials. Ceramic materials are immensely strong and do not require a metal substructure. Instead, ceramics allow for a perfect match to the adjacent teeth. Like real teeth, light can reflect off the modern restorations and make them look completely natural.

Due to significant wear of this patient’s natural teeth, they began to discolor, crack, and chip. Individual crowns were placed to restore these four teeth to their original size.

We provided this patient with a bridge, making sure that the new teeth looked completely identical to her natural tooth color and size.
Fillings
Today, the use of metal fillings (amalgam) is almost always avoided. At our office, we use composite materials that are equally as durable and look as natural as your real teeth.
Implants
History and research have shown that if titanium implants are placed into bone, the bone bonds to the implant surface and it remains in place 98% of the time. If conditions are favorable, the use of implants allow us to dispense with removable partial dentures, or to replace a single missing tooth. They even help retain a complete denture that is considerably smaller in size. This, therefore, allows better taste, speech and less bulk to contend within your mouth. A single tooth replacement or a fixed bridge will be the same size as the original tooth being replaced.

This patient suffered the loss of her upper left lateral. We replaced it with an implant and single crown. Color matching was a challenge due to the uneven coloration of her original teeth.

As you can see, an implant was placed in the upper right central incisor position. The silver post was screwed to the implant body, allowing the crown to easily attach to the implant.
